Any one got a source for air horn parts?

I broke the "Y" plastic piece and can't seem to find them anywhere.

Maybe a auto parts store?

Any ideas?

Auto parts store "tee" connector.  Common part.

Yeah "T"'s everywhere, but I need a "Y" so the pipes flow together.  More for looks than performance.  Found some on the web for $14.00 each, I just can't do it, yet.

If yer worried bout looks find a CHROME T fitting! Or lengthen the hoses and hide the T or Y fitting. Have you attempted to get hold of the manufacturer or the supplier of the original unit?? Go to something like Rock Auto and enter plastic Y fitting or some such. Good luck. RIDE SAFE.

Bill, I have a container of Y's,T's, etc. that I got at Autozone. It's for vacuum lines but I think it would work. Don't remember the price but it was cheap.

Not yet, I e-mailed Rivco but haven't heard back yet.

I never liked that Y fitting anyway.   crazy2  To me, it and those hoses just looked cobbled up.  So I replaced them with a tee fitting and two 90 degree spark plug wire boots.    With the boots on the ends of the T the boots line right up on the horn nipples.  I figured the boots would blow off the horns when I hit the horn button but they never did in that first year that I ran it that way.

The next year I had a piece of stainless cut that covers that ugly part of the horns and traps those boots so they cannot blow off.  Now I like the look a whole lot better.  I don't have a pic of it though and my camera has taken ill.  Guess I am gonna have to get a new camera.

Thanks Hook,
I had the new plug boots just laying here on the shelf, left over from some other long ago job.  And they happened to be in the same area as my assortment of left over vacuum fittings.  My mind was outside the box there but it works.

You can order stainless steel drinking straws on eBay, the kind with the bellows-like section for bending the straw. Obviously this makes a good elbow, but with a Dremel, a pencil torch, and some silver solder you can make T's, manifolds or just about anything else you need.

A dozen of the straws cost only a few dollars.

Also in regard to spiffing up things like this, you can get 20 or so stainless cable ties for less than $10.00 @ eBay.

Also in this regard, you can get a wire bending tool that lets you make neat looking clamps from stainless steel wire for another $10.00 or so, also @ eBay. You can do many things other than clamps with this tool.

Obviously, I have a thing about stainless steel.

You shouldn't have problems. Getting something to work.  Rivco has sold me individual horns on two occasions.  Its  nice to be able to buy  pieces parts without buying a complete unit.   I run rivicos AND an ear cannon.  It gets ya noticed.

Yup they get brittle, so does the hose. My horn sounded weak, after inspection the hose was so brittle it was falling apart in my hand. Replaced the T and the rubber, sounds like new cooldude
I found everything needed at my local Autozone.

Hey quirkyguy001,

Thanks for the lead.

I went there first but didn't see the little search box.

I looked for a "parts" page but didn't see one.

Sent them an email, but they never responded.

Hook,

Did you get the Y fitting you need?  If not, then send a pm with your address to me.  While working in the garage today, I just happened to see the Y fitting I took off my bike.  I will put it in the mail to you if you still need one.

Bigwolf, Thanks for the generous offer  cooldude cooldude

As it turned out, I found some from a plastics supply company and as usual, I bought more than I'll ever use in my lifetime.

Thanks again.
