POSSIBLE CT MOUNTING METHOD
The TV show on the Science channel "Outrageous acts of Science" showed a guy with a new drive wheel tire mounted to a large earth mover. The vehicle was jacked up high enough to install the wheel with the tire on the rim/wheel.
The guy squirted starting fluid in the tire. Picked up about a 5 ft. long stick with one end on fire. Waving the fire around the open tire a small fire started the guy stepped back. Maybe 15 seconds later the fire expanded and the tire popped seating it's self. It holds about 200 lbs. pressure when inflated.

I've never done that but have seen it used a number of times, especially on the farm. Just about any flammable stuff with a quick ignition like that will work. Even saw one guy swipe his wife's hairspray, sprayed the inside and lit it up. Poof....bead seated. He had his wife watch and she got a bit upset when she saw it was her hairspray. Even more so when it ignited.

Easiest way to do it when in the fields on a tractor. Seen my uncle do it many times. Works nicely if you got the balls to do it.

When I worked in the tire shop the truck tire mounting area had a can of ether right there with the large tire irons and inflation cage. In the case of ether-LESS is MORE. Git carried away and you WILL hurt equipment and people. 11X24.5 tubeless took 2 little squirts and wave the lighter over it. I have lost some arm hair at times! RIDE SAFE.

Saw it done on the trail for those hard core 4x4ers, after they spin a tire off the rim that was under inflated to get a better grip on the trail.
There was also a cross the artic expedition doing the same thing. Over sized tires at 5lbs air. Easy to spin off the rim. Just as easy to remount. Bang and pop. Lots of youtube videos on the subject.

Yup did that for years when I was an off road mechanic. Big thing to also watch when using anything flammable you have to make sure you do not inhale any of the gases as when you light tire if you are close you could actually in jest the fire into your lungs not good at all lost a guy years back he burnt his lungs pretty much cooked from the inside. Do I still use it yup but user beware I guess

I operated earth movers for 6 years and have seen this trick many times. If you think that is bad try having one of them tires blow up under your ass. I was in an old open cab cat 637B and the tire under my ass blew and folded the fender straight up only a couple inches from the back of my head. Loved running those things though. Eventually got upgraded to pan foreman and put in a brand new G model with radio and AC.

Seating a tire bead with ether works great. It is one of those 'right of passage' to be handed down from father to son.
