Have had a new Valk for about 8 months.  Traded a vtx 1800 for this one and can say this is an amazing machine.  Wanted more performance and wow did I get it.  From straight line speed to handling ability I couldn't ask for more.  Put factory bags, windshield and riders backrest on the bike from the start with highway bars.  I would like pipes but as no one is making them and I refuse to drill the stock exaust I will be content until someone steps up to the plate.

Yeah, you're not the only one in that boat.  Somehow I don't see one in the immediate future though.  I'd be happy if they had one by this fall.

Has anyone tried the pipes they are making for the F6B?

Not yet, but these are probably on my short list.

From what I've heard (but never confirmed) is the F6B/Goldwing exhausts don't fit but I never heard an exact reason why.

My understanding is that it has to do with mounting locations or brackets being different. That's not to say that a creative person might be able to accomplish getting them to fit as I believe it is only how the pipes are supported that is in question. The Valkyrie pipes are shorter.

I saw an F6B with 6 into 6 on it at a dealer in TN. and it sounded awesome. I cant imagine it would be too difficult to make a mounting bracket that would allow them to fit the Valkyrie.

It may not be a big deal to make a bracket.  The question is, is there room for an intermediate bracket between the stock mount and the new exhaust mount.  I haven't looked at any exhausts or even taken the factory exhaust off yet.

I tried a while back to get my hands on an OEM   F6B exhaust but couldn't find one for a reasonable price.  I'd be more than happy to try it and make some brackets if it's possible.

Don't limit your search to used F6B exhausts. These are Gold Wings. Any 1800 Gold Wing should fit.
At least later model.  coolsmiley

I've been busy so I haven't been looking much lately.  In the next few weeks I'll get back on it.  I'm up for the project.  A stock exhaust is kind of a little too "vanilla" for me

My dealership said the f6 pipes would work but have to be cut because their so stinking long

THey are longer, but the length shouldn't be an issue other than aesthetics. The issue I understand is how and where the exhaust bolt up for support. My understanding is that where they bolt up may be different.

That is my main question too.  How (if at all) do they mount differently?  Hopefully someone will answer that soon and save me the trouble of tracking down a set of pipes

How about you contact Two Bros and ask them what is different.

If it is frame mounts, that should be easy to recreate a clamp, in Chrome..

If I had a new Valk, I could answer that, but I have an older Valk and an F6B. Wink

Yep.  We need to find someone with a new Goldwing Valkyrie and an F6B side by side to get some measurements.
