I just put a new austone tire on my interstate and have a pair of Progressive 440's from a rear end i bought last year from a person that triked his bike do you think they would be better than the OEM shocks?

      Thanks,Robin

Concur.  Just look for signs of leakage (usually from the top).

Hope they aren't extra short (as in under 12.5").

I originally had air shocks and scraped a header riding two up at highway speed!   Shocked  Got rid of those as quick as I could.  Found some old used 440s that barely got me through a season, then bought some new 13" HD 444s.  I love them with the Taxi Tire.  BTW, I have some brand new Progressive 440 black chrome retrofit covers I'd sell cheap if you're interested.

Did you have to offset them with a spacer?
I spoke to progressive and they said they don't make them for the valk but all you have to do is add a few washers or a spacer.
