Do Your Best and Miss the Rest!

I wanted to share a link I received for a chance to win a new Goldwing, F6B or Valkyrie-winner's choice. I need to say I have no horse in this race other than the fact that I have purchased tickets.

The raffle is being conducted as part of a motorcycle dealer's Appreciation Days that occur over the May 15th through the 17th, 2015 period. The dealership is very reputable but since they are not a sponsor of the VRCC, I ask that you don't post the name in here.

Here are the details as told to me. They are accurate to the best of my knowledge--for what that's worth.

Tickets are 1 chance for 5 dollars or 3 chances for 10 dollars.

You can buy the tickets by calling them or by email. I called and talked to Cindy.
You can pay by check or credit card. They will also have to charge postage(something like 48 cents) to mail the tickets to you. The drawing will be held after 3pm on  Sunday May 17th. You do not have to be present to win. I was told you will get your choice of models(meaning Gold Wing/F6B/Valkyrie). If you have any questions, please ask the dealer.

I am well aware I am probably just donating my raffle amount to the cause. You probably will also. But if I can't win, I'd like nothing more than to see a fellow VRCC brother or sister walk away with the prize.

Good Luck! Here is the link:

Niehouse does this every year, good time if you can make to the appreciation days, I usually go every year. My hometown is only 15min away from Litchfield.

Its a much for Goldwing orientated atmosphere, but a lot of folks there are old Valkyrie enthuseist.

They will sell enough tickets to pay off one of the "Free" bikes they raffle. So if you win, get the full dresser Goldwing, otherwise the dealer profits from the difference in price of the F6B and Valkyrie.  cooldude

agree, would have to be crazy to NOT get this for 28 grand:  http://www.niehauscycle.com/new_vehicle_inventory.asp?category=1&ModelYearFrom=1900&ModelYearThru=2016&PriceFrom=0&PriceThru=999999999&mfg=0&ModelSearch=&submit=GO&page=7

Red/black new Wing is sharp looking.  I love it and for 28 grand, anyone should.  NO way would anyone want to get a 15-16K F6B/Valk when they can get this fully loaded.

Seems they have a good inventory in stock and good chance this would be in stock if my 10 bucks actually wins it all -  someone has to win, right????  Roll Eyes

WHOOOOOOOAH. Never was it said you could pick out ANY bike in their stock. You would have choice of a Goldwing, an F6B, or a Valkyrie. I don't know how many of each model...or which styles of each bike will be avail to choose from. Like I said, if you have questions, ask...before someone feels they got shafted. I modified the original post to reflect that you might be limited in which version of Goldwing, F6B, or Valk they'll allow you to pick from.

I wouldn't ride a full Goldwing to the mailbox, but I just spent a bunch of sweat and time
getting my stripped down Goldwing (Valkyrie) comfortable.

Different strokes.

Of course, I'm speaking from the perspective of "what you'd want to ride", not "what
you'd want to sell"...

Mike, I agree completely with your last line. If I was to be the lucky winner. I could see myself wanting the Valk for "what I'd want to ride". But the business decision would make me do two transactions. Wink

Usually they have the models that are in the raffle on display at the dealership during the appreciation days. In the past, you had to be present at the rally when they announce the winner in order to receive the bike. That may have changed. They raffle off all kinds of stuff.

I have hoped to win a bike every year I attend, unfortunately my luck is 0.... Neihouse is the best Honda dealership I've been to. The staff is very knowledgeable,  and the manager of the used bike section is an original valkyrie owner. They are usually steep on their bike prices though. I've never purchased a bike from them, just parts and accessories. There are goldwing folks that travel far distances to purchase from this dealer, located right off of historic route 66.

Thanks for the addition, Reb. I stopped in there on the way back from Eureka Springs IZ a couple years back. I saw the sign that said Litchfield and knew I wanted to look them up. I was very impressed by how big of a dealership it was, how clean it was, how well lit....the whole nine yards.
Like you said, I found them to be very friendly folks. They even offered me a discount on anything I would buy, even through email.  As for the raffle models, what you say makes perfect sense. I just didn't want to mislead anyone. It'd be far better to ask and let them explain how it works.  I was told by two people I talked to on the phone that we would not have to be present, just to clarify that. I'm figuring at that price, they must sell a lot of tickets. I've been in HD raffles in the past and they usually start at 30+ per ticket.

Giving this a bump. Just got my tickets today. It's stated right on them that one does NOT have to be present to win. That's a big plus.

3 tickets for 10 is a pretty cheap chance on a new Wing, F6B, or Valkyrie...winner get's to choose from the three.

I just bought my tickets today.

Called them up, spoke with Cindy. Needed to know I would be eligible for the price if won, being from out of the country, which I am. Since I expect to win it, it is very important to know this first.  Smiley

I emailed cindy@niehauscycle.com to buy my tickets.
