I broke the turn signal pusher. Can't think of a proper name for it, it is a L shaped piece of metal with the plastic button on it. I can not find it in the parts fiche for the life of me. If anyone could point a blind man in the correct direction it would be appreciated. I assume all years are the same, at least 99 IS and 01 Standard are. Thanks

Hey Meathead...have bad news for you.  You can't buy just the button...or any of the parts in the controls.  You can only buy the whole assembly...per side.  Kind of sucks...  I would check ebay for a used part.

Used off Ebay is what I did for a friend. Cost less than buying the entire thing from Honda, just have to disassemble the housings and replace the individual part.

Are you talking about the plastic button only, not the lever/switch?

Who cares, get the pieces and epoxy them back together, or using something like JB Weld, make one. Maybe a penny, or a lapel pin, or a bullet case base, or ........

The metal 'L' shape is the part I hear folks asking about. What would that part be worth if someone made it for our community?

OK guys, Thanks. I'll try brazing it. If that doesn't work I'll look for one on pin wall .

Public Service Anouncement

People in the vicinity of Lake Havasu City need to be on the lookout for a Meathead Midnight Auto Supply guy, likely in possession of a JIS screwdriver.

I'll make a call in the AM to my local shop. They have stuff laying around. Might have an old housing.

My local Honda dealer had a used housing and just sold me the same part that you need.

I've had 'em break on two Shadows in the past.  One broke in on position and I had to take it apart roadside to disable it.  Had to hand signal for the remainder of the trip.  Must be pretty common.

Meathead, I got ya covered.  I bought the whole piece last year for about $35 shipped, but did not need the L-Shaped metal piece with the plastic on the outside.  Send me your address and I'll get it in the mail.  You might send me the shipping charges if you're so of mind...Jim Smiley
