This is one of 3 GINORMOUS rocks/boulders that fell from a high wall in one of my quarries recently. It was so big approx. 40x50x25 that a road way was built so that holes could be drilled from the top.
13 holes 18 ft. deep 3.5 in.dia. each with approx 45 lbs. of explosives and POOF or KAABOOOM the boulder is no more.......Some times I love my job.  cooldude

It takes a pretty good primary explosive to set that stuff off doesnt it?  Ive often thought about playing with some of it here on the farm, and using something like acetone peroxide to set it off, but da LAW would go nutz... so I havent tried it.  Roll Eyes

Yes anfo is a BLASTING AGENT not HIGH EXPLOSIVE. It does indeed take a powerful HIGH EXPLOSIVE to make it shoot.....

Granite for crushed stone of various sizes for thousands of different uses......As for the Video I'm required by company policy to video every shot. The problem is they provided a camera that takes excellent videos that I download onto the company lap top with the shot report.....It deletes the video from the memory card when it does this and I can't get the video from the laptop.  Cry
I'll figger a way at some point and show some of the shots here.  cooldude

4 gig, about $10, 8 gig, about $17...

Carolyn picked up a couple of one or two gig ones in the cut-out bin at Staples for less than
a happy meal...
