Got her done, can't wait to drive it with the trunk off. Maybe March or April before the snow goes here in Canada.  Sad

Nice clean job.   cooldude

Those pipes are looking a bit different, like the rear baffles have been moved back.

Full length stacks with glass pacs?

Very nice job! Are the exhaust "Mild to Wild" howitzer stacks from MarkT?

Pipes were on the bike when I got it, Mark T for sure. If I take the silencers out, she really howls when you get on it. Thanks to this site for all the help, this is the best Valkyrie site, so much knowledge to tap into.

Hey, I like the paint on your bike, reds are my favorite. You should think about doing the SuperValk conversion on your bike if you haven't already.  cooldude

Very nice...

Three questions..

If you don't have a passenger seat why do you have passenger floorboards?

Want to sell them?

And the saddle bag lights, brake, turn signal or both?  Obviously not running lights.

It looks very good.

Saddle bag lights are turn signals only, they work well. The floorboards are there to keep the boss happy, I'd be in trouble if I took them off.

Did you need to modify the trunk rack after installing the tailight for clearance purposes?

The Std/Tourer tail light bolts right up on the Interstate in the knockout hole with no trunk clearance problem (I have it on mine), except if you have the CB under there, there is a clearance issue.

I have read the CB can be turned sideways to remove the clearance issue with a little creativity (but have no specifics).

Here are a couple of pics of mine. I have added a few things since these pics were taken. I only use the trunk on longer trips for storage. I think yours would look great SuperValked!

Don't mean to speak for Bighead, but his is a Woodys fairing.

Many of us have them.  I love mine.

http://www.woodysfairings.com/fairingsetc/HNFVLKX.html

It's not hard at all to install it.  However, you'll need a speedo/tach and headlight relo kit from Daryl at XF6 Customs to install a Woody.  Also, a very easy install.

An Interstate Valkyrie that has had the trunk removed and turned into a solo ride.

A solo standard.

(Though a real solo would have the rear pegs, sissy and luggage rack (if any) removed too).

A super valk is technically an Interstate that has been modified so that the trunk can be removed or replaced very easily and quickly, as in just a few minutes.

There are lots of us who ride with the Interstate only in the trunkless configuration but it needs to have the easy change mods to be a Supervalk.

So I've been told (many times).

I guess mine is an Unsupervalk, or maybe a Less-than-Supervalk.  Grin

Jess, you can call it a supervalk if you don't let the supervalk police hear you. I have done it but I don't say it very loud. coolsmiley

I'd call it a chopped interstate, but then people think it has raked out six foot forks (which would just be ridiculous).   Grin

Yep those are OE interstate bags. I am very happy with the look without the trunk, I would think it should handle better too. Only a couple of months to go before I can find out.

Cold in Ontario, even too cold to get the sled out today.

For sure, getting rid of mass that's not only up high but also sitting that far back behind the rear axle is a double win. Not to mention the weight of the stuff that accumulates inside it.

Nice look on the Supervalk. Also brings a question on my part. I have the complete tail light assembly and looks like the harness to the tail light. When I mount it on my I/S is it plug and play or will I need to do some splicing?? Little too cursed cold to go out and look at it now but when it warms up I want to mount the light. You'll need two pieces of wiring harness to go with the tail light harness. They are part numbers
32102-MZ0-000 and 32103-MZ0-000 wiring sub-harness. They're pretty cheap; probably only $15 total, but you might want to wait for a free shipping opportunity.

Even removing the sissybar off a Standard and leaving the passenger seat has quite a noticeable effect on the overall look. I remove the passenger seat when I need to strapped down a bulky load such as mig welder, etc.

Here's my conversion....

http://s1374.photobucket.com/user/Filomena_Andrew_Mignelli_Arsenault/media/039_zpsbb89afda.jpg.html?o=0

On the wiring harness I ordered, I just had to add a single wire for the break signal. easy as pie!
