Champion or Mustang. If you want OEM check Ebay and get ready to spend $$$$ either way you go.

I have the Tsukayu bags. They're great. Heavy duty fiberglass not ABS Plastic.

IMHO, the more popular choices, in no particular order are.....

Used set of OEM and then repaint and refurbish them.

Champion Patriot.

Mustang.

http://www.mustangseats.com/Product/13301/Universal-Plain-Saddlebag-Set

Tsukayu.

http://www.tsukayu.com/index.html

Tsukayu offers several different bags....Strong, Jumbo Strong, Patrol, Coner, Quick Release Strong....and you can get most of those covered in their leather looking material.

If you'd be interested in a trunk, Mustang now offers a very nice trunk now....

As does Tsukayu also....

Those aren't the only choices, but I'd think that the above choices are the most popular.

As a side note:  The Mustang bags are identical to the Tsukayu "Quick Release Strong" bags.  Also, Mustang's trunk is identical to the Tsukayu "Touring Trunk".

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

I am really liking these Mustangs.  And I never thought I would like hard bags.  I rented a Tourer Valkyrie in Denver Co once, And was really disappointed with the size of the OEM bags, these seem to be a tad bigger and the opening is wider I think, anyway aside from having to fab up some mounts these are great

I have also seen HD bags mounted on a Valk and didn't think I would like the look because of being squared edges but they looked really good. you would just have to fab some mounts. They are plentiful also.

My 97 Standard came with paint matched Corbin Beetle Bags. I think they look perfect, but there is no way I would have ever paid the price for them if they hadn't come with the bike.

Virtually everyone that gets Tsukayu bags for Valk, gets Strong or Jumbo Strong (same as Strong but wider).  The Strong are very close to OE Valk hard bags in size and appearance, except the forward edge of the Strongs are more undercut than the OE bags (the whole shock is exposed, whereas on OE bags the shock is more hidden).  If you go to their website, you can find a good number of pictures of valks with Strongs, and a few with Jumbo Strongs.

While the Jumbos are pretty large, I think they are the better choice if you will travel, and if you want to (be able to) stick a full face helmet in the bags.  They are big, but so is the bike.
