I have a shop manual which shows how to pull the fork apart.etc.
From what I can see, it appears that to change the oil, I can pull the fork, the fork cap, lock nut on damper rod, spring seat stopper, spring collar..pour out the oil, replace oil and reverse the removal of the above items??? I assume I dont need to remove the springs or go further as shown in the shop manual to completely disassemble the fork????

That will work for the left side shock but the right side has an internal damper that will not give up it's oil that easily. Likewise the damper will not simply charge itself that easily either. It's in the manual.
