Hi!
I have been using braided stainless steel I/S throttle cables on my Tourer for quite a while. This entails using the I/S throttle housings. The cables, which are shorter than the ones for the Tourer, exit through the bottom of the switch housings.
Last summer, after approximately 10 years of use, the throttle pull cable snapped.
I rigged a "temporary pull cable" and limped home.
I then installed an OEM black pull cable and used it for the rest of the season.
This winter I ordered a new SS pull cable and installed it this afternoon. Guess what? I should have checked the length before trying to install it. It binds ... too long.  Angry
I'll reinstall the black one and then shop for an I/S stainless steel braided pull cable. However I'm not having any success in my search.
For those of you who have stainless steel throttle cables on your I/S, do you remember the model and part number? Any insight would be appreciated.
TIA!  Smiley
