I have been a Goldwing rider for the past 6 years after a 15 year break in riding. Mostly because
the 1100 and 1200 Goldwings are affordable and great rides, but I finally got the opportunity to buy
this 99 standard from a friend who got a black I/S last summer. Paid $5000.00 and wow what a great bike. 4k miles so far this spring and it is awesome. Best bike I have ever owned.

Just had to make a highly reflective sign for the shop to warn the HD friends.  2funny

Added hard, leatherlike boss bags for it, an air horn, handlebar risers, and a switchblade removable windshield.
Might get out and try to get a better picture of it some time.

This was taken a couple of weeks ago at my LOCAL (Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League) club meeting.    I had it posted on one of the gun forums.    It was suggested that I post it hear on the VRCC also and hear are few more at home.

Thanks a million to everybody who voted for my bike on InZane XI in the category "Wash & Wax".  cooldude

I appreciated all encouraging comments to continue with detailing and enter the competition as one of the last, when the other contestants already lined up their beautiful bikes. I really felt I had no big chance, therefore I feel very honored to having received this award.  Smiley

Newbie for this forum. Here's a quick pic of my '99 standard. I bought it new summer 2000. I mostly use it for slow around town cruising. Its got about 19K on it. The low miles are because I always have MBS. (Multi Bike Syndrome)  For grins I'll throw in a pic of my other current favorite - '98 VFR800. -- One to go fast and one to go slow, not necessarily in that order.  Cool
