Hello everybody,

I will be removing my foot peg lowering brackets and heel-toe shifter this week. I'm going to keep my Cobra floorboards and use with the CBR-1100xx shifter.

My question is: How do I remove the lowering bracket on the right side? (I am assuming there is a lowering bracket there, because it is even with the left side).

* If everything works out with my new set-up. I will probably sell the lowering brackets & hell toe kick shifter.

Thanks!

Hey RR
Why are you getting rid of the heel/toe?

The heel/toe came with the bike and I just cannot get used to it (after 20+ years of riding). I like the comfort that the floorboards provide, except the current setup scrapes way too easy.

I hope by raising the boards and using the CRF-1100xx shifter (on order from Partzilla), I can continue to use the floorboards without scraping. If not, I will find OEM or Kuryakyn pegs.

It's pretty simple. After you remove the chrome cover you will see what's going on.
That reminds me. Make sure your new mounting bolts aren't too long. I bottomed one out and broke it off. Had a hell of a time.

I think I would love a heel/toe shifter if it would work with my cobra boards.

cooldude If a lowering bracket is there on the right side, it will be apparent with that lower chrome cover removed. You can see the nose of the bracket on mine in the photo.

I just removed the right-side foot peg lowering bracket from my Valkyrie. It is completely hidden when mounted.

I couldn't find a photo of this anywhere on the web, so here it is....
