I only had one part left over.

In the course of installing new handlebar grips & luring throttle cables, the small brass part pictured below (I hope, my first attempt to post pic) fell from the start / kill switch housing.

It appears to me to be a retainer clip, but it won't reach anything to retain from any possible attachment point; it also has possibilities as a rotation position detention tab for a notch on the outer circumference of the kill switch but again, it can't reach far enough.

The switch has always worked fine without it being attached. I'm baffled, maybe it fell from the sky while the PO was installing the aftermarket grips it had when I bought it.

I'm considering tossing it, but I'm still curious.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dan

Don't toss it until a photo is put up so we might be able to help you out.   coolsmiley

That goes inside the handlebar control covers.

It is a "keeper" for the wires in the control housing I believe.

That's what I thought but it doesn't reach from any of the screws to any wires that might need to be retained.

Look at the bottom right hand side of the lower pic (from Rattlebars).
As Skinhead has mentioned, it is most probably the "keeper" holder for wires in the control housing.

Thank you.

I expected to get an answer when I posted the request for help.

What I didn't expect is for someone to disassemble the housing in order to clearly show me.

Above & beyond. Again, thanks.
