Dear Friends

I noticed that there are several topics concerning the CB, but I was unable to find one with photos showing how to install a CB radio unit in a valkyrie Interstate.

This weekend I installed a CB bought from a forum member (Thanks, Terry!) and tried to document the process with some photos of the procedure. I hope this may be useful for other members installing a CB radio in their valkyries.

The link to the photos:

Remembering that the CB radio installing manual can be found at http://www.valkyrienorway.com/download.html

Best regards

Thanks for sharing. I went through the same thing last summer. It's nice to have a CB on the "Princess".   Grin

put one on my IS last year, so me and my dad can talk on our long trips. do not forget to get a SWR meter and check your CB. it will be out of adjustment. i did my dads and mine. able to talk at a distance of 15 miles with no trouble after adjusting the antenna.

Someone requested access to the photos (and Google plus is gone), so here goes an updated link:

For my first I/S I opened up the tool box/battery compartment area and put the transceiver body there.

Will do same w/ second as there is no trunk on this bike. Also planning to use a Std/Tourer sissy bar and antenna mount - all of these have been powder-coated black. The antenna I'm looking at is the same form factor as the one supplied in the Std/Tourer CB antenna but is black too - think it was meant for an F6B.
