I have seen these on bikes before, and they show up really well.  There may be a better place to get them, but I remember seeing this one while shopping last night.  Click link below.  You could also put a GL1800 Goldwing spoiler on top as they have brake lights, also.

I  run one of these on the chrome bar under the trunk and have had a lot of good feedback from other riders and cagers. cooldude   http://www.customdynamics.com/knight_rider_led_light_bar.htm

The one that Dave posted below is the one I have had for several years.  I spent quite some time this afternoon trying to find the people I got it from.  I added a flasher unit to go with it...got the flasher from Rivco, tied it all together in the trunk....took out one tail light to access the wiring.  The bar is always on, when I hit the brakes, it flashes real bright 15 times in 5 seconds then stays steady.  Everyone says it is very effective.

I use these for $15 each.  I glue them to the trunk rack behind the helmet locks

In this video I have the Goldwing spoiler and the $15 LED strip wired to a Back Off flasher which flashes 5 times when applying the brakes & then goes steady.  The background noise is our 17-year cicadas

I had one on my interstate that came from the roof of a 90's GMC astrovan that was their 3rd brake lite.  It matches the trunk line of the interstate perfectly and looks like it was made to be there.  It attaches underneather the trunk with 2 bolts and gets wired into the brake system.  I got mine from a local junk yard.  Hope that helps.

I've got this one on mine.

From Custom Dynamics 15" I got a piece of 1/2' alumnin angle iron to mount to the trunk supports and the light to the angle iron.
