I pulled my starter switch apart, and it proved to be ok, but now the upper and lower clamshell that holds the throttle and switches, does not want to line up to re assemble.  All small parts appear to be placed into their appropriate spots, just when I put the clamshell back together, it wont close so I can put the screws in it, there is about a three sixteenths gap no matter how I play with it. Any tricks to this thing? Ideas please.

The lower half of the clam has a small pin...it must line up with the small hole in the handle bar.
I had the same problem today!

Got it done HV, thanks you saved me some flopping around. I knew it was prolly something like that, but with the bike on the stand, I would have had to have a mirror to find that area. In any case, the bike fired up instantly, without the enrichener, yeeeeaaaa.
