OK how about Stumpknockers in Inverness this Saturday? Got my Buddy Rob back in town and I know he is looking forward to a ride.

Lesa and I are heading up to the Suwanee River for a few days. Should be just about perfect this time of year. Taking the little 1954  Model R double cockpit with a 1954 25hp Johnson on it. Should see lots of miles of river.
Y'all enjoy now, ya' hear?

Nick, you probably already know this but there are two Stumpknockers:  one in Inverness (downtown), and the one in Dunnellon (on the river).  Not knowing this, I made the mistake of posting a ride to the one in Inverness when I really meant the one on the river.  Had two of our members meeting at the wrong place but thankfully they saw us on the road and straightened us out. I'm sure both locations have great food. We can't make it this weekend, but you guys enjoy!

John Paul made the call to stay in town rather than go the cottage so - Mike JP and I will meet up just east of exit 229 (moccasin wallow) at moccasin wallow and buffalo Road (the frontage road) at 8am and run to Carols Café.   Cheesy

I decided last minute that I wanted to go riding. So, not having been to Stumpknockers, and on Billy Boys recommendation, that is where I went. Figured if I met up with anyone, that was a bonus, and if not, I'd have a good lunch. What time did you leave Stumpknockers? I rolled in there at around 1:35 pm, Gregg had seen me go by him at a gas station and followed me into the parking lot. You guys either were gone already, or changed your minds and went elsewhere. I bet on the latter.  Undecided

Anyways, I had a great lunch, and left there around 3 pm. Great ride. Total was just under 200 miles. For rides of that duration, I really like riding as a single bike. I win every discussion about what route to take!  Roll Eyes 2funny

Well here is how it went down. I left the house at 8am and got no further than the exit of my subdivision when my phone rings. It's great to have Bluetooth hooked to your ears so u can take calls as u ride.

My buddy Robert and his wife Lillian were meeting us at 7-11 in Land O Lakes, but on the way up from Dover on 75 they had a rear tire valve failure. So with two up and in the hammer lane at 70mph he managed to get to the off ramp at Bruce B Downs and pull over safely  Cheesy

So me & ED diverted our meet up and headed to them on the side of 75. We had a pretty good pit crew, got the truck over to them and got the tire off and went up to Wesley Chapel Honda to have a New tire mounted. Got back to the bike mounted it and continued on to meet up with Don who was now waiting for us at the Truck Stop off SR52.

From there we continued on thru the woods to Dunellon, and arrived at Stumpknockers at around 1:30 and left there around 3:30 after the bad start we still managed to squeeze in a Great ride !! cooldude

Glad to hear they were able to safely get to the side of the road. IT looks like ya'll had a good day after all .
I wonder, does the 1800 use the curved valve stem like a GL1500 uses . Hmm does the Valk use the curved one ? I hope they replaced it with the metal type .

Yes his Wing has the curved stem. We also have the same on our bikes. I have since changed mine out. I went with the Ariete 90 Degree angled Valve stems.

Wow that was quite a trip.  How was the service dept at Wesley Chapel Honda?

I was going to call you yesterday evening but a neighbor needed help distracting me from calling.

They had the new tire on in 1/2 hr, not bad as they were busy. The whole down time from flat to on the road again was about 2hr. We had to get a truck there with some real tools and then get over to Wesley chapel and back again.

We still put about 200 miles on for the day  cooldude

Wow, important part is nobody got hurt. What I can't figure is how we missed each other at Stumpknockers. We were both there at the same time. oh well, stranger things have happened. Undecided

We parked the bikes towards the back under the trees for shade. We ate inside then went to the river for a few pictures.
