I'm lookin for some new leather bags to replace the original ones. With the cost of things I'd like to get the best ones the first time. What's everybody got & think are the best. I'd like black with studs and fast connects instead of buckles.
Thanks

I don't have leather saddlebags, but www.heritagesaddlebag.com is a high quality company with good support and is
a VRCC sponsor...

Sounds like you're looking for Boss Bags. (www.bossbags.com). Expensive and very, very, very durable. I've had a pair on my bike for seven years and they look brand new. EZ on/off. Large. Leather over steel underneath. Only downside is that the extremely sturdy mounting system is not attractive if you're running without the bags. Even those, however, come off in a few minutes compared to seconds to remove the bags.

They appear to meet all your requirements and the company is a good one to deal with.

Rocky at Rocky seats and saddlebags will build you a set like the ones i have. They are pricey but well worth the money. Best covered hardbags you will find.

Another option, K- DRIVE bags , can buy from HDL  , for the price I'm happy with them, these are 4 years old. don't have quick buckles, but detach  from the bike with a quick snap brkt on rear of bag. the bags can be locked to the bike brkt with a key. they are man made simulated leather product , not as big as some you might find thoe

If you're not dead set on real leather you may want to consider Leatherlyke bags.  They'll cost you about $400; they are removed or replaced very easily; and the bike still looks good with the bags off and the mounting hardware showing.

Boss Bags were the best quality leather bags that I had found. I've had mine for 7 plus years and they still meet my needs. They do require some periodic maintenance, leather conditioning/weather proofing to preserve but that becomes routine. If you're not going to maintain the leather, get something else.

They do internally padlock to the bike but can pop off in literally less than a minute. The not-so-sighly mounting brackets also come off in maybe a minute if that long, that's both sides within a minute total, no big deal.

Pricey but one of my best investments. Highly recommended if you're looking for a durable, good capacity leather bag.
