Hi all, Just a quick question. I gave the Interstate a good clean today. Only had it three weeks and this was the first good clean. What's the leaver on the bottom of the top trunk.it doesn't seem to be attached or do anything. Rear left under the trunk  Undecided
Thanks

Its supposed to be the release to open the lid.  You can see it in the microfishe, #24 its called "Lever, Lid Opener"

It will only work if the trunk is unlocked also. Put your key in turn switch (not the way it opens it but opposite) then remove key and try and see if it works.

Yep, just opened it with the key. The nice shiny new key that only fits the top trunk as the PO locked his bike keys in the trunk by putting it in his glove and shutting the lid  Roll Eyes I have the Honda hand book and that doesn't mention what  its for

For what it's worth, if your ignition key will slip into that trunk lock (meaning the offsets are the same orientation), a good locksmith can rekey it so one key will do both.
