I'm changing out the OEM rear seat and don't recognize which tool has to be used to remove the front two bolts.  It looks like it requires some kind of Allen wrench but not sure if it is something I can get at Sears.

Before I start running back and forth to the store, would someone please tell me specifically what I need?

Thanks

It takes a metric Allen wrench. Probably have one in your Valk tool kit. If not, go down to Autozone or Harbor Freight and pick up a set for a few bucks. Many uses for them all over the bike.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to find out by checking the download manual but couldn't find it. I knew I could count on those of you out there.

Thanks

You can get them to fit on your ratchet wrench, both at Sears and those other places, in case you need a bit more torque; they come in 3/8" and 1/2" drive.

I've changed out those two bolts to a hex head but it appears that a small investment in metric tools is required here...

You were are all correct, it was an Allen wrench.  I did as Wintersol suggested an got a 5mm Allen that attached to 3/8 drive wrench.  Once they broke loose, I was home free.  Hope I like the Mustang seat.  I've been thinking more towards the Ultimate but this seat is in great shape and at half the cost so,
I had to try it.

Thanks for the help!

I put a Mustang seat on my VS800 Suzuki, and wouldn't go back to stock if you paid me!

My Valkyrie came with 3 seats: two-piece Honda, one-piece Honda, and a two-piece Corbin with back rest. I much prefer the Corbin seat; just fits me better, as does my Mustang.
