That Marlin is one of the finest if not THE finest of brush guns out there! Absolutely perfect for hunting any game in the SE United States. Great for bigger game anywhere else as well.
Have hunted with lever guns now for the last 20 years or so out to around 200yds. which is more than enough for hunting woods deer.
Hornady Leverevolution loads add about 50yds to the normal effective range on these rifles.

Tempting, but I already have several..........

Yeah they are nice rifles. I always regretted getting rid of mine so I will take the Lever Action of your hands.

Oh Hell....put my name on the pellet gun.
Don't know when I will be able to pick it up but we will get that part figured out.

.35 Remington Lever action.
Three or four years ago, in Alabama, I was sitting at the base of a tree. "Still" hunting I guess you could say. Early in the season and wanting a nice fat doe for the freezer.
Off to my right 5 does popped out. Could not risk moving to my right and getting into a good shooting position so I did an offhand shot. Had to put the shot between two Sweet Gum trees to take the deer I wanted.
The shot didn't go as planned. Instead it went straight through the tree on the left, about a 3" thick Sweet Gum.....then literally knocked the doe off her feet for a clean quick kill. Not the exact shot I was looking for but I will take it. Apparently the bullet mushroomed out quite a bit going through the tree and by the time it hit it's mark it packed quite a punch! That was from one of my Marlin .35 Remingtons.

The .35 is a thumper!. I have taken a few deer and many Hogz with that gun. Nice prices, if I wasn't doing the insurance dance I would pick it up.
