These 13" chrome shocks w/ heavy duty springs have been replaced on my 00 I/S with a set of the same only black in 12". They have approx 9000 mi. I'm a new Valk owner and have no idea what they are worth. Anyone interested?

I'm interested. Let me know what they are worth to you and I'll see if it's about the same as they are worth to me. My 440s with the hd springs have about 110,000 on them now and I'd bet newer ones would help! cooldude

I would guess $2.00 -$2.75. In hundreds of course. Maybe a little more with an auction type sale.

I sent an email to Valker...... first come, first served. I doubt if an auction on the tech board is appropriate. I think, after a bit of research, an asking price of $350 with me paying the shipping from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada would be good. Incidentally shipping anything FROM or INTO Canada is usually a deal breaker. Nafta Free Trade is a joke here in Canada. The free shipping in the US on the shocks I ordered turned to US$40 for that extra 40 miles into Cdn. Thirteen days clearing Canada customs and over to the Island here. Then I paid Cdn $62 for GST+ Pst + a "service fee" for the privilege of being able to pick it up myself.

Valker - They're supposed to have lifetime warranty.  You might be able to send the in for rebuild for no $

You will find, as I did when I bought a set of used 440s, the "lifetime warranty" is only good to the original owner with the original receipt from a recognized vendor.  If one messes up you'll be looking at nearly $400 to repair or replace it if you aren't the original owner. Once sold by the original owner the warranty becomes void.

Ain't technology amazing? My 13" 440's are on their way to Relax in.... Norway. I can still remember using a rotary dial phone and took my first "business machine" course in 1964. What a world........
