I have an interstate and 2 different trailers.  Aspen classic with brakes and a bushtec.  I installed an isolator on the bike for a rack that has lights attached.  Now I need to wire the bike for the 6 pin connector that is on both of the trailers.  I want to install a brake controller and I was thinking of the remote one that mounts on the handlebars and activates the controller that mounts to the trailer.  The remote system come with 7 pin connectors attached on each end of the controller that mounts to the trailer.  Is there anyone out there that can provide me some info on how to do this.
Thanks

I have the Aspen Ambassador, and use a brake controller that mounts to the bike, not a two-piece controller with the actual brake control in the trailer. It's much simpler, with all 6 contacts in the connector used: LT, RT, Tail, GND, brake light, brake power. The Aspen is wired this way, because it has separate brake and turn lamps; not sure how you could get around this, though, without changing the connector on the trailers. I'm guessing your system needs 7 pins, so you have 12VDC and remote brake control signal, instead of the one brake power line. My control box is too large to fit anywhere but a saddlebag, though, meaning you have to adjust, test, stop and readjust, etc. Once it's right, though, you're done with it. I've never needed the manual activate function; just pulling the brake lever enough to light the brake lights seems to work just as well.

If you provide the model of the controller that would be more helpful.

I have an aspen classic and have the prodigy 2 brake controller mounted on to the tongue of the trailer in a starfit lock and lock container.  The controller can be taken out and moved inside the car and a bypass plug inserted into the container.

Don't know if this helps or confuses.

Ride safe.

It is the prodigy RF 90250.  However, the way that you have yours mounted would probably be just as good.  It would also be a lot less expensive.  The only reason that I was going to use the other model was because you have the remote mounted to the handlebars and you could activate the brakes or chance the settings while driving.

Just a a quick look at the rf90250 and the main problem is it is set up for a 3 wire (combined brake and turn) and the aspen is a 4 wire.  That's also one huge controller box.

If you want I can take some pics and make a crappy wire diagram for my setup.
