Picked up 2 gallons of T6 at Menards. $21.67 with $5 rebate on each. Seen it at WalMart with the same coupon attached. Menards is also the best place to get Sea Foam...less than $7.00 a can.

Just got my first Valkyrie (a 97). I assume the Rotella is synthetic, what grade for our bike and what is the best oil filter to use.
Thanks for any and all info.

Muscrat, there are tons of threads on oil. Pretty much a personal pref. as each reply will give you what the person thinks is best. Rule of thumb would be to not skimp on either oil or filter for peace of mind if nothing else.

I use the Rotella T6 primarily because it is competitively priced, convenient in the 4 qt. jugs, readily/consistently available locally, a highly rated synthetic and it works. What's not to like? I also use a Honda auto filter because I have a case of them in the barn from past and present Honda autos and they work.

I like Purolator PL14610... About $7 Advance Auto. Have been using Valvoline 10-40 dino M/C oil from Meijer's for about $4.60/quart. Thinking about trying some T6 on my next oil change.
Cheers! -Art

I picked up a couple of those filters along with a can of hi-temp flat black spray paint. Ain't havin' no yellow filter sticking out the front of the engine.

Rather than paint, put a salt or pepper shaker over it, that's what I did and found 2- S/S for $5.00.
