Ok, here goes: I have properly identified all of the wiring on the bike 12V Key on Ground Brake Turn Signal Make the appropriate connections and nothing. I connect up the stock stuff just to make sure it is still working and it does. I connect the LED lights accross the battery and everything works. The only thing I can think of is a load equalizer or something but in the directions it call for that if the signals are too fast or erratic, but nothing about them not working and needing a load equaizer. Thanks in advance

I had the same problem a few years ago when I was putting LEDs on my I/S. I had purchased some EclipzeLED lights #3205-29 from Custom Dynamics and although the plug-in was the 1157 (2-prong) type, it would only light up with one intensity (or not at all) depending on how I connected the wiring. I had to buy two more LEDs to achieve the double intensity needed for running/brake lights. This may or may not be your problem...Jim

Jim, Thanks for the quick reply. I dont think that is the problem because these have wires, 1 ea for: Ground Red running Red brake and Amber signal

Grounding for an LED is a bit different. Try running a separate wire direct to a ground instead of using your normal ground. Or a temporary jumper direct to the battery negative. If either or both works, then you'll have your answer.

John, Thanks for the advice...
Running direct from ground, still no joy.

Are you using those T-tap connectors? They might be your only problem. I avoid them like the plague as they may work (or not) at first but fail and/or cause wire corrosion later. I prefer good old solder and shrink tubing or electrical tape.

I am unclear on exactly what you are doing but if you are trying to use LED turnsignals then you need to replace the stock flasher unit with an ELECTRONIC one for LEDs. Cheap at any auto parts store. Without that you will either get very rapid turn signals or none at all. Once you do that, there is no reason for a load equalizer

I am trying to install a set of Run-Brake-Turn Signal lights from Kuryakyn to get rid of the center rear light. They will not operate at all when wired up. All of the features: red running, bright red for brake and amber for turn all work when connected to the battery. It is acting as though the circuit does not recognize the load. But in the install guide it only mentions the need of an equalizer if the turn signal feature is too fast or erratic. But no infor if they dont work at all.

Hope TJ has the answer(s) to make it work. Have you called a tech at Kuryakyn?

Troy you must like blue.? Did you paint your blue/silver to blue? Is that Magna an 1100? Nice bikes. Yes I like Blue bikes.. Really debating a NOS 2014 Blue Valk.... :-) The Magna was a 2003 (last year made) "Electric Blue" and only available in 750.. The 1100's were wicked fast. LOVED that bike, sadly I totaled it. Bought Allen Ruggs 1999 Vlak Interstate that he painted. Very good bike but I left it in Germany. Bought and currently enjoying Greg Cotherns 2000 Valk Interstate with 37,xxx miles... Bought last year with 32,xxx miles and I put on 5-6K in the one year. It has a "custom" paint job from the original owner.

Thanks for taking my call last night. It may take a couple of more phone calls because I do not fully understand your instructions. I think you mean I have to try and find power closer to the battery. I was a little punch drunk after work, but I will be off work on Wed, maybe we can talk agaian if your schedule allows.
Thanks in advance!

Well all, the issues are fixed. LED's are polarized, might not be the right word, but since the lights worked when placed across the battery they were funcional. Somewhere in the bikes wiring, the polarity changed. I connected the running wire to ground and the lights ground wire to 12v KO and I had lights. Continued the wiring and the brake lights work and the turn signals as well. They are a little faster but I dont mind... Thanks all!

If you want to slow down the turn signal flashes go to AutoZone and purchase their Electronic Flasher EP34 to replace the OEM flasher. It will have 3 terminals (L, E, & B). Attach colored wires as follows: Gray to L (Lamp wire) Green to E (Negative wire) Black to B (Positive wire) You will have to attach appropriate connectors to the above wires.

Or he can go to a radio shack (good luck finding one now days) and get a pair of 8 Ohm 20 watt resisters and put them in parallel with the signal leads BEFORE the r-t-b module...

I got the lights working and for the moment, I am ok with the faster flash, maybe annoying enough to keep from getting hit. I have not finalized the position yet, but its legal to ride.
