Howdy folks!
As some of you may know I'm now the proud owner of a Green N Cream Tourer. I purchased it sight unseen except for an evaluation by my brother-in-law who was drooling for it while telling me about the deal.
The only thing he did say bad about it was that it needed tires. I have E-3s on the Interstate but would like to go to a shorter profile tire for the Tourer.
At 63 I've finally decided I'm not going to grow any taller.  tickedoff Time to shorten my ride.
Any suggestions welcomed; except for wearing platform shoes.  uglystupid2

If I needed my ride lower, I'd either put on a lower seat or I'd put on a 12" shock instead of the 13's.

Am running 11.5" Progressives on both Lesa's Valk and mine. Am 5'9" and this allows me to easily flat foot with a good spread. Also allowed me to go to an Ultimate Big Boy seat and still flat foot.
Running the standard tire up front and a 205/55-16 darkside on the rear.

Everyone seems to like Avon cobras. As for lowering, I have a Corbin seat and use 13 in Works shocks.

Saddleman has a solo seat for the Valkyrie that is advertized as being one inch shorter that stock.

Just my .02

If you like the E-3's, I just had a shorter profile E3 put on my rear (because I was stuck out of town with a flat, and on a Saturday, it was all that was available).

I think the stock is a 180/70R 16, and this is a 180/60R 16.  The bike is noticeably lower.

If you're replacing both front and rear, you could go this route.  Keep in mind, if you go with a lower profile on the front, your speedo will read a bit faster than your actual velocity (but I couldn't tell you how much more than the stock 3-5MPH mine seems to read with the stock tire size on front).
