the left rear turn signal isnt working, swaped out the bulb from the right rear that is a known good bulb. Where is good starting place to trouble shoot to not waste time on this. the socket is clean with no signs of corrosion . Any help is appreciated and thanks.

First is to get out your test light and see if there is power. If not, thats your problem. If there is, then you most likely have a bad ground.
Has the connector been apart recently ?

Check the wiring in the side cover. Its in the plastic wiring harness cover, clear i believe. The connection might be loose. I think its a yellow or brown wire. My rt side rear stopped working on a trip to a club gathering. Tested the socket and no power. No power at the harness under the fender, which check anyway also. Found the connection was pulled out. Plugged it back in and all was good.
