Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

What are you all running for shocks, non oem. I have the 412's and like them. Had them set on 3 and bottomed out 2 up. Have them on 5 but havent tried 2 up yet. Not sure what is the best set up for me is. 98 tourer with stuff in bags, me at 205 lbs and her at 120ish lbs, travel alot so have the weight of luggage. Is the 412's perfect or is the HD better? Or a diff shock #?

Progressive 12.5" (I believe stock is 13") 444's HD (Heavy Duty Springs, not to be confused with the overpriced, oil leaking, V-Twinkie brand).   Grin

I'm 5'10" tall, 185lbs
One up: firm aggressive feel, yet not spine tingling,
One up with gear:  still firm, stable
Two up:  medium soft, NEVER have bottomed-out, still stable

Love 'em.
