Thinking about taking the Valk on a trip up to Chicago end of June/early July.
Was wondering if any of you have experience with either a throttle lock or throttle assist?
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Woody I have a Vista Cruise throttle lock on mine. Was on it when I bought it so can't comment on the ease of installation. Make sure to order the unit that fits your bar diameter.

I like the lock as it allows a bit of relief on the longer runs.

Had an Arrow Stich throttle lock on a VTX 1300 that worked surprisingly well for what it was. About $25.00 if I recall.

I use breakaway throttle lock and it works perfect plus it looks like it belongs there. I had it on my VTX before and then transferred to the Volk, same model worked for both bikes.

Thanks guys.

Breakaway does look like the best (and most expensive) option out there. Still toying with one of the less expensive options. Although they don't look like they're part of the bike like the Breakaway does, I might try one of those first and see how it works. Going to do a day long test run first.

Thanks again for the ideas!  cooldude

I also use a Vista Cruise throttle lock. I seem to have to tighten the allen screws quite often but it is worth it to let me rest my right hand, arm and shoulder for a couple of minutes. It won't hold on hills very well, obviously, but it does hold nice on level roads and is quick and easy to disengage with a flick of your thumb.
