One might think I lived in the Depression.

I'm Starting to follow my Grandparents foot steps.

I been stocking up on Oil, Oil Filters , Batteries, Tires Etc

Now If I go to Dyna Beads would like to Buy Bulk Without the Gigantic Bill.

Let's face it these things are expensive and we all hate spending money on paper towels, because
they are disposable.

Where can I get these beads in bulk.

Iv'e exhausted my searches on google, and figured I'd ask you all .

Thanks

You can get them in five pound jars here. $60 plus shipping.
Got mine! Grin

Thanks to BonS for this find.

"The following is from an email I received from Quackenbush Co. I talked and ordered from Tom Weiss.

The beads they are buying are our QBZ-58A, which is made of zirconium silicate. ZY beads are made of yttrium stabilized zirconia, and they cost a lot more. We can offer our 0.8-1.0 mm QBZ-58A for the price of $60.00 per quart. A quart contains a little over 5 lbs. We have the beads (QZ-58A) in stock.

Excellent, thanks for posting!  By the way, which did you order...the .8mm or 1.0mm?

They are kinda like the Styrofoam "peanuts" or the beads in a bean bag chair. When you open the bottle they go everywhere! I just took the tape off the lid and attempted to open the bottle and now I find them everywhere!  Cheesy

16 oz to a pound, 5+pounds in a bottle of beads for $60.00.  That would be 80+ ounces.  That works out to be 75 cents per ounce.

No Doubt but they come in a Quart Container 32 oz they say is 5 pounds so that threw me off.
I think the Fluid ounces threw me off . Your right 5 lbs is 5 lbs no matter how tight you squeeze it.

Thanks

I bought a jar of them...5lbs +.  Came the very next day.  Split them with Misfit.  We ended up with 2.6 lbs each.  That's a lot of beads.

And just what are these beads for?

They are for balancing the tires dynamically from the inside. The thought is that they settle where they are needed as the tire spins up. Also, as the tires wear the beads change position to accommodate uneven wear. Most folks who have tried 'em seem to like 'em.
