Where did all that come from

I all, doing some bits on the IS today. I took the air box off and one of the hoses came away from a T piece on the RHS. It dumped what looked like about a cup of water. Im guessing it a hose to a breather but should the water build up that much or should itt drain off ?

Know as Dragon Drool.

The bottom of the line with fluid in it has a plug. This should be part of your regular maintenance (frequency based upon location and use). Remove the plug and catch the fluid, inspect.

Moister from your air cleaner box.

I never worry about mine because I have had it unplugged since I bought the valkyrie in 2002 : Roll Eyes

That could allow dust and dirt to be sucked up and into the air box. Personally I would plug it but it is your bike and your choice.

you need the plug in there with out it you have a major vacuum leak

I emptied mine for the second time in eight years. Got about a tablespoon each time.

Doesn't seem to affect it, average 37 mpg and it runs fine.I will result it per your suggestion and see if I notice any change.
