I paid for a 30 minute ride in a B-17 once and will never forget it. Well worth any amount of money - almost! I'll never forget the sound; the smells; the experience. Once in the air we were allowed to wander the plane freely, cockpit and all. If you enjoy these aircraft you must do this! Someday somebody will do something stupid or there will be an accident and the opportunity will end. Someday I'll do the same in a B-24 for sure. (They say that the B24 was the box that the B-17 came in!)
