I finally got around to getting the light kit that Ed recommended for the cowling with the round light pods.  Trying to get them installed, but since it is halogen, I have to use the relay harness.  Is the connector to plug in the relay harness under the tank?  Didn't really want to remove the tank.

Help!

With the halogen lights you will definitely need the relay.  I am looking at the LED lights, and I don't think I will need a relay for those, but maybe I will.

As for where the connector is, I am not sure where that is.

The aux light switch/wire kit is an easy install. You have to remove the cover where the fuel tank lock lives. Then there are many choices of lights with the proper plug already attached to plug in behind the lower cowl. I used low watt LED riding lights from Bike mp3 @ $129. They work great and are plug and play and glue. You have to glue in the molded plastic mounts which is fine but the light mount doesn't match the contours of the cowl very exact but I'll say its not very noticeable, they do supply a quality silicon adhesive in white, I would save that for another project and get a tube of black. The only problem I see is dirt accumulating in the little gaps around the miss fitted perimeter of the mounts. They project a bright light with a blue tint. The light kit comes with a jumper to install the lights without a switch and stay on all the time like the headlights. I bought the switch kit just to fill in the blank square hole in the left panel Cheesy

Perhaps my question wasn't clear.  I picked up a Goldwing chrome lower cowling with the round light holes.  I asked on this board which lights would work.  Ed recommended these lights:

Since they are halogen, the relay harness needs to be used.  I need to know where to find the connector to plug in the relay harness.

Got it (well, BigBF did)... no tank removal necessary.  It's on the same connector as the switch harness, no modifications needed.
Easy, once you know where to plug it in... haha.

Those are BigBF's big ol' mitts, not mine.

My lower pods have square cut outs.  How do you fit in the round ones?  Do you need to buy a  GW lower cowl?

You don't have to change the cowl to use round lights,it just looks better.
When I did my Valk there wasn't a good rectangular Fog Light System so I used a  old  2010 Goldwing cowl I had and painted it flat black.

There is a rectangular lower cowl design for 2012 and newer Goldwing, F6B, and Valkyrie now I installed on my F6B.
