My wife and I do a lot of 2up riding. It seems that the bumps are pretty rough on her. I have a 99 IS and I have the shocks set on #2. with the 2 of us and gear weighing in about 400 lbs. Any ideas on what would be the best setting for comfort? Thanks for the info!

Mine are on #4 with about the same two up and luggage weight as you have. Bottoms out on two.

Hey Challenger thanks. I went to the owners manual this afternoon and found 414 lbs max weight on #5 setting. so I Bumped mine up to #4. It has been raining here all day. can't wait to try it out!

OOPS,  wife and I loaded up nearing 500lbs. set at 4 on OEM rear shocks = not good I guess?  Luckily me being heavier and off the rear shocks more so is a good thing but pretty sure pushing the 414lbs.  for both of us.  I have only bottomed out the OEM rear I/S shocks with wife on back a few times though.  If riding exclusively 2-up,  I would set at 5 for longer trips for sure, but prefer 4 setting for solo riding.  If I was under 200lbs. and riding solo only, I would bump down to 3 though.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
