The fog lights on my interstate are controlled by a switch on the left pod. Is this switch in the power wire or the trigger wire to the relay. I want to wire the lights so they come on with the lower beam and off when I go to high beam. I've done this with some aftermarket lights on my other bike and like the effect of the lights changing the view of the bike from the front.TIA

The switch is wired to a source of "key-on" power. That is, voltage always present when the ignition switch is in the "run" position.

I've installed a Big Bike Parts master-cylinder switch block on every Valkyrie I've owned and replaced one of its switches with a SPDT center-off version of the same form factor. (Digikey carries these, for anyone so interested - and I'll provide a P/N.)

The switch 'common' is wired to the relay, one of the switched contacts is wired to the low-beam wire and the other is wired to an always-on voltage. In this way I can make the fog lights follow the low beam, be always on or be off. And without cutting up the pod insert.  cooldude

Where is the relay for the fog nights located. I can find it on any of the wiring  drawings.

The relay for the fog light is suppose to be zip tied to the main wiring harness under the right side cover. It will be at the top right corner when you are looking at it with the cover off. I sent you an email with details.

Thank you. I saw that relay thought it was something the previous owner might have put there. It's a big ugly relay.

Should be a standard H3 replacement bulb. They're socketed.

From Jeff K's generic parts page.

Valkyrie Interstate Driving Light Relay

AutoZone sells a Pilot (brand) Replacement Relay for $4.99

The Pilot relay model number on the packaging card is PL-RY1.

Note: Number C0249 is printed on the relay itself.

Also

Interstate - (Hondaline Driving lites), and found that a Fog lite Relay from
 a Honda CR-V # 39797-SE0-004 is exactly the same

Go the Shop Talk  section ( top of this page) and in the header area  is the Generic Parts link
