I don't like the dealer and don't trust their service so any service that will be needed I will do. But has anyone found a service manual for the F6C or even the B yet? As far as the first oil change what is the recommended interval?

I would say Honda says 4000 miles on first oil. Don't know that for sure on the f6 but that was what my VTX was.

I got one right away, don't remember where...

Google up "honda service manual gl1800c/a" and you'll see them, one of
the first hits is a forum member on the classified who has one to sell...
it was a couple of months ago, though...

I just saw this one on eBay.  $66

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-HONDA-GL1800C-A-Service-Manual-OEM-SEALED-/191521821930?hash=item2c979714ea&vxp=mtr

The other ones on there are going for far more.  I am sure that the guys who put them out on CD will have them out soon.

Not sure about the manual, but my dealer told me first service at 1000 miles.

I had a trip planned, so I changed it at 700 (ran out of time to get to the full 1000).

1st service is 4000 then every 8000, its in the manual, I guess your dealer didn't have one either?

     Get the one from Helms!!!!
The one on eBay is a guy making copies in black and white.
The one from helms comes in a 3ring binder and includes the electrical
drawings also in color.

Mine is the genuine article, no copy. $45 slightly used looked new, a guy on another forum was the seller.

The only thing overly maintaining your oil changes damages is your wallet.

Got this one :   http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/2014-2015-honda-gold-wing-valkyrie-1800-f6c-gl1800c-gl1800ca-part-61mjr01-service-shop-repair-manual/        Almost looks like a repo ,but worth the 50.00 to have it.
