I'm not, but fair warning, 95 North of Richmond/Fredricksburg VA up the Eastern Seaboard is pure combat rules (try to avoid commuter rushes AM and PM weekdays).  Be alert and on your toes.  I'd rather ride mountains in the rain and fog, it's safer (or maybe just as unsafe).

I thought it was a theme park ride that went wrong.   Grin
I went through there at 3 pm on a tue, I know better now and not doing that again.  My 1st solo long trip, my shoulders were very sore later that night.
But did meet a great guy driving a dump truck and he said he was very impressed how I handled the trike.  he rides a sport bike and said he wouldn't come out there so good for me.  it made me feel a little better, but boy was I nervous.    Shocked
Be super careful out there.

Thanks for the warnings I am pretty familiar with the  insanity up there...born and raised in Jersey just got here year and a half ago.  I may need a couple of big air horns installed on the IS before I go.

Made it to Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel and the IS is running great.  I may be looking for another seat when I return.  Teamed up with a very nice couple from Las Vegas on HDs through Georgia and South Carolina.  Each time we stopped for fuel Ron couldn't help but fawn over the flat 6 and comment that if only they still made this style he would own one.  Updates to follow.

Well ,as we know they don't make this style anymore. BUT they can frequently be found for sale at nice prices and a used one will still outlast his HD .

 Enjoy your travels

Had my first and second hiccup on my trip with the IS.  80 miles from my destination on NJ Turnpike Sunday afternoon my 90 degree plastic valve stem started to leak.  Had to stop every 20 miles for air but made it to my sisters house where my brother in law replaced it with a metal chrome one. I also lost the antenna somewhere on Rt 80 in NJ.   Want to give a big thanks to Judy and Robin for the help.
They just returned from Inzane and  took some incredible pictures of their  trip. I attached a pic of Robin's 99 standard he also has a 99 IS identical to mine which he took on the trip.

Randy, Glad the valve stems didn't fail terribly before you replaced them, and do a search on antennas, seems they are getting shorter.! Thanks for the update, are you back in Fl. yet ? and that is a fine looking Standard. cooldude

Got back yesterday ending with a ride in a crazy thunderstorm in St Augustine area..no place to get off or hide..crawled for about 15 min until it passed.  Had a great ride through NC rt 26 through Ashville area to visit some friends.  Happy to be home again.  Thank you for all the kind wishes.
