My fog lights both went out at the same time.  Any ideas about what to look at first.  I did check all of the fuses in the main panel and they are good.  Is there a separate fuse someplace since they were oem options?

A little more information needed; what model of bike...I/S or other, are they add-ons mounted up under the headlight, mounted on the crash bars? If and I/S, are they mounted in the radiator pods? Where and how is the light switch mounted, and did you lose youre headlight at the same time? The main fuse panel won't have the fuse for your extra lamps, that panel is just for the bike's main harness.

Depends on who wired them. There should be a separate fuze, and a relay somewhere. I would start at the switch, and follow the wiring back to find the fuze and relay. They might have used the wiring instructions, and they might not.....

In her words, they are not OEM. They are sold by Honda and installed, if they are for the IS and mounted in the pods. They had install instructions, but did the mechanic/owner who installed them, fall the instructions?

Check this out, download the installation manual, and use that to find out what was done.

cooldude You might just have a bad ground. Did you check the continuity of the bulbs,  are they burned out?

As other have stated - need more information. If the fog lights are pod mounted on a Interstate, the fuse will be located outside the main fuse box. It should be under the right side cover near the top right when looking at the bike with the cover off. You should find a relay zip tied to the frame and a fuse holder within an inch or so of the relay (it may have tape over it). Each light is grounded individually so your likely culprits will be the fuse, relay or switch. Also, if wired according to the installation instructions, your accessory fuse must also be working. The accessory wires are used to send power through the switch and trigger the relay so they only work when the key is on. This fuse will be located in the motorcycles fuse panel. Again, not sure exactly what you have but if they are pod mounted light on an Interstate, my two cent is on a bad switch. Many others (including myself) have had issues with the switch mounted in the pod.
