There is a 5 year old thread about a big wheel on a valk and the the last reply was over a year ago so I thought I would start a new but related thread.
The bike mentioned in the thread is from Germany and looks to have a widened rear wheel, offset to the left. In one example Jeff K mention Kosman doing a 3/8" width addition offset to the left. Now what would that do the handling? I am asking because it would really be an effective offset on 3/16" and the contact patch or flat spot on my 200 Avon is about 2"

Would a 3/8" offset widening be enough for a 240
PS I am running a 170/60-17 on the front now

A lot of engineering for only a cosmetic change. FYI, the contact patch is controlled by the air pressure, weight on the tire, and compliance of the tire; all else equal, a wider tire just changes the shape of the contact patch.
