Took a while.
Best if viewed in 720HD mode. Click the "gear" at the bottom to change it to that.
Then go to the full page setting.
Video is long.........

Will upload photos of the trip later.

Thanks for the pix and videography. Makes me feel just like I was there; oh wait, I just was through there too. My wife and some friends and I did a 2 week tour through a whole bunch of the same geography and got home just about the time that all of you were heading out for this NC wonderland. We have a vacation home in Tellico Plains, so we tend to spend a little more time on that side of the hill, but our trip up covered much of the same ground: up 441 until we reach Gatlinburg. From there, we rode the Dragon-Cherohala Skyway to the cottage and spent a few days riding around there . Then, were up through KY, WV, VA, NC, SC GA and back to the east coast of FL and were blessed to encounter very little wet stuff, though a trip would seem odd without at least some rain. Maybe some time we'll et time off coordinated to make one of these trips, but we have enough trouble making the Florida meet-ups with the schedule we keep. Real good video and thanks for that.

Wow Casey, that was well done and fun to watch! I know that must have taken some time and effort. Thanks so much for the video and the pictures at the end. Seems you captured most of the highlights of the trip, except for Lesa sitting down in the creek. You Chicken. Grin

Good job Casey.  I know that was lots of work.  I noticed in your helmet shots that you were doing the look twice thing.  cooldude

Great video Pappy!!
Need some input from you and anyone else that has video recorder.
I'm leaving a week from Saturday to take the Valk up to Chicago. My brother was kind enough to send me his GoPro Hero to use on the way up. Going to be taking the back roads up through Ga, Tn (Dragon) Ky and In.

I've been testing this thing out and I've tried two methods. First is handlebar mount behind the windshield. OK sound, no wind noise but getting the glare back from the inside of the windshield.
Next I tried helmet mount, but I'm getting loads of wind noise. Tried the open back, tape over the mic, foam over the mic and still getting wind noise.

Any ideas Gentlemen (and I don't mean to insult anyone with that term)  Grin

Havent done much to reduce wind noise. I did go and research it though.
A chest mount seems to be a decent solution as it is behind a windshield. That, combined with a skeleton case and foam or foam/tape may be more than adequate?

Tons of videos on it,most just using a skeleton case with foam and tape. You be the judge on that.

I did however find one solution that seems worth trying.

Can see doing this (should be 3/8x16) and dropping the tube behind the rider, possibly down the back of the neck and inside the riding jacket....... or wherever.
