OK, after getting set up by Jerry and the gang here ( he fessed up about the PMs to you all

)
I did get a chance to ride his blacked out 2014 Valk.
So today's ride started nice and early 6:15am to go meet Jerry and a couple of more Florida riders, on my way there I was falling in love with my Valk all over again (cheesy, I know, I know

) riding a nice cool and sunny weather with straight back roads with almost no traffic, a perfect setting for some aggressive riding mixed in with just plain good old cruising

All through out the ride, the phat lady responded every time without a single complaint, some quick take offs, some nice sweepers and anything else we had to do to keep up with Jerry and his new Valk.

On the way back home we switched rides and here are my first impressions and most have been said before but it is always nice to find out for yourself.
- a lot of power
- felt really light compared to our old Valks
- smooth and quick throttle response
- riding without a shield is nice in the hot summer day but quickly found out that I needed a full helmet instead of my half helmet and my button T shirt almost came off, kind of scary, mostly for the innocent drivers around me

- nice and easy to read instrument panel.
- I liked the sporty feel of the ride, handlebars pull back and rider position felt good.
- brakes were quick to respond, can't figure out why someone would ever have a complaint on them.
- I did honk the horn a couple of times while looking for the turn signal

- a lot of power
We then switched back and the thought that came to mind was:
"2015 corvette and 1954 corvette", nothing wrong with either just a different bikes.
In summary:
I really like the new technology and with the combination of some of the prices out there for the 2014s
, it is really tempting.
I would need some bags and so far the only ones appealing to me are the Corbing bags at around 2k

The looks of the new Valk are growing on me and it gets better when you see the bike in person.
I am 46 now and as I get older it would probably be less of a chance for me to get the full benefit of a new Valk if I wait too long.
It would be really hard to give up my old faithful valk so I see myself adding one of the new Valks to the stable in the future.
Big Thanks to you Jerry for trusting me with your ride
This concludes this Valk Information Broadcast Service, we now get back to our regularly scheduled programming
