Hi . I just got a valk a few weeks ago. Please help to identify these pipes! Are they any good? Am I loosing a lot of power? I can see the downpipes are changed too, they are thicker than original. I was told its jetted + timing advanced.

It looks like a set of modified stock pipes to me. The header pipes are coated...possibly ceramic. It has the stock cover at the collector and appears to be truck stacks over the can and some tips... Can't tell from the picture what has been done inside the truck stacks. The bolt on the bottom of the left pipe suggests that the piggies are left in place but again, can't really tell. Take a look inside the pipes and see what you see.
Won't hurt performance of the bike...if they are the stock pipes with truck stacks...no changes were needed to the carbs...but...they could have put in different slow jets (popular to go with #38 jets) and a trigger wheel (6 degree wheel) change for added performance unrelated to exhaust.
Congrats on your purchase!

They look like Viking exhausts with tips added to the ends. You're not losing power with the Vikings. In fact I think they're the only ones that added a few hp. The headers are ceramic coated, single wall, and larger in diameter for better flow. There are perforated baffles inside the pipes that run nearly the entire length.
(I can see the Viking baffle inside on the right hand muffler.)

Nice pipes, don't pull out the baffles, I bet it sounds great. Pricey pipes, noise is not horsepower, leave them alone. Look something like the exhaust on my Avatar. Hoser

Just so you know, you have Champion Patriot hardbags (fiberglass, better than stock ABS) and the (impossible to find, no longer made) Champion bag guards. With Viking pipes, you done good. And now that you've showed us the dirty parts, clean up the flat cut exhaust tips and bag support rail underneath before it's too late.

Gotta take exception to a couple comments - claims that were made by Viking which are just wrong. Yep pretty sure they are Vikings which were ceramic coated. All 6-2 after market exhausts made for the Valkyrie - including glasspack mods to OEM pipes - produce more power and torque than the OEMs. The larger diameter is NOT a good thing for streetable torque. Smaller diameter pipes have higher velocity for more torque. Larger diameter headers support more flow for more hp at high rpms, and can help on blown bikes. Not a good thing for a normally aspirated street bike. Equal length headers are also not a good thing for delivering a flat torque curve - they tend to optimize power at a narrow rpm band, typically high up on the tach, and deliver a peaky torque curve. Not a good thing when you are rolling on midway in a sweeper, to have the torque suddenly come on strong. But they are great for drag racers - for lots of HP high on the tach. The Vikings are still better than unmodified OEM pipes, and better than the 6-6 pipes (Cobras, Two Brothers).

Thank You guys for all the info and kind words! Yeah i think i got a good deal. The prev owner sold it to get a new Harley, a few days later he called me if i want my money back, he would be happy to take the bike, as the Harley has nothing on the Valk.

I put Viking pipes on MGM.
As MarkT said, sometimes it is hard to realize and sometimes handle that big boy when you happen to crank it on in a curve and unexpectedly, you get a lot more than you can handle for a few seconds.
The 1st time it pulled the front wheel off the ground I just about streaked my shorts. After that, I made sure I was going STRAIGHT.

Didja tell him you is okey dokey with the way things are NOW?? I've heard the same lament right here on this forum MORE than once-should have NEVER sold/traded/gave up/got rid of/traded the Valkyrie. Got a friend of mine just got rid of his Victory and got a H/D. When I get back home I'm gonna let him ride a big bike-my Valkyrie. He just don't know it yet! I will be way more than interested in his reaction after he rides my Valk. RIDE SAFE.
