Have not heard from them in awhile, they where going to keep logging in some more miles after Maggie Valley.
I know that they might not be able to post but figured they might be in contact with someone here.

 Cool Thanks for inquiring!
Maggie Valley was very enjoyable, hope we can do that again! Inzane was excellent and thanks to the staff for their tireless work. Spearfish was a very good location for basecamp for the area riding, including the Black Hills, Custer, Mt. Rushmore, and other adventures.
Made it home safe, the Time Machine did very well, never left me stranded or in doubt. A lot of road time and moved quickly in US and Canada. All weather experienced, all temps, heated gear, rain gear, all used daily above the border. All animals of the regions encountered. Most riding was very isolated and remote. Not sure a trip report would convey the experience in words or sites seen without writing a book. Did take photos, film clips, met folks, and enjoyed the tour.
My Wingman's whereabouts are known, We'll let him tell of his tour when he makes berth. I will say that Gil is the best prepared, skilled, knowledgeable, enjoyable, person I have had the pleasure of touring with and hope to share more miles with him in the future if possible.

727 hood

« Reply #10 on: June 28, 2015, 11:51:42 AM »

Cancel the Silver Alert I am in the 727 hood.  Rolled the last 1,300 miles continuous arriving at 6 AM.  Had a great time and did manage to get out of Pasco county for a day or so.

Trip was worth it, especially hiding in the tunnel with the Florida gang as well as rolling in the hills with the Coys.

Even the time spent on 75 sitting with the Italian twins was great.

But really the best of the best was sitting at Camp Alpha drinking coffee with James while he sipped on some tea.  We had just cruised a perfect day stopping to camp on the Mississippi River.  We have a common bond in our search for string.

One thing for sure, if you see a motorcycle parked at a therapist office it belongs to one of the staff and not one of the patients.

And I have stories for our next encounters, one Billy Boy story for sure!  The girls remember him from last year.

I love my wife and I know she loves me (she approved of this trip).

Lets ride!  73

Gil, if I could leave the house for a trip like that, you can be assured I'd be on your six. Will be interested in some of the tales of the road from you guys.

PS: I meant to add a couple bucket list items of mine. I have a close buddy from high school living in Livermore, CA, haven't seen him in years and is in poor health. I'd love to ride out there and spend some time with him, and possibly his ex that was his HS sweetheart. We're still good friends and she doesn't live far from him. The other thing I'd love to do on the return side of the trip is travel through Glacier Nat'l. Park, retrace our travels when we got hitched. Then mosey on east to family and friends through Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and on home. Rita thinks I'm nuts for even considering a trip like that on a bike, even more so at my age. She's usually right....but I'd still like to do it, or at least go down trying.  Grin
