Left a restaurant last night and nothing works on my dash except the clock.  No odometer,  speedometer,  fuel gauge, etc.  Anyone know where I should start?

Thanks,
Al

Battery and alternator first.

Or I could check the fuse that is for brake lights,  tail lights,  turn signals and the dash...  seems odd that would fix it since the fuse shouldn't blow uness there's a problem in the circuit somewhere.   At least for now it's working.

Thanks!

also check the wire under the battery box. it feeds the display for the radio, and other devices. mine was corroded. it is the reddish colored cap over on the wire loom under the battery box. it will be taped over. remove the tap and pull the cross over cap off. if your lucky like me you can clean it up and lube with dio gel.  then reinstall cap and re-tape to water prof it.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I was 250 miles from home when that happened.  Ended up replacing the fuse 3 times to get home.  Definitely something intermittently shorting the circuit out.  Haven't had time to look further yet.

This is the first mention of replacing blown fuses I've read.
Narrows down the area to troubleshoot.
