A couple of weeks ago on a trip to Maine, my right fork seal started leaking again. Did the film trick again (the third time over the years) and the leak stopped. However, the fork oil blew back and covered the right front of the bike. Got all that cleaned up, but the fork oil on the header pipes has fried on. I've used a razor blade on marks on the exhaust farther back, boot marks etc., with success, but I've not been able to get the burned oil off the header pipes. Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.  Gary

Just make sure you cover painted surfaces with tin foil.  The oven cleaner will eat the paint off.

Spray it on...heat the bike up...wipe it off...just like cleaning your oven.  Grin  Just ask the wife how to do it.  Grin

Smart n Final sells a product called Carbon Off. Works on boot soles burned on pipes. Oil should be good too.
