Congratulations to brew1brew for becoming the new Chapter President!

And Thank You Disco for letting the rest of us (those who didn't attend) know how the election turned out.

Maybe Brew 1 Brew 1 will tell us what else happened at the meeting ..  like what was discussed, who showed up, any rides on the 'Futures Map'.  Smiley

  Just wondering?  Roll Eyes

Agreed Tom.  It'd be nice to see some report of sorts  seems like it used to be done.  Congrats Brew 1 Brew   Maybe you can more equally territorialize (?) the meeting locations as well.  just saying.

Blessings,

Yes Mark a big thanks indeed.  Re-reading my post above, it was mostly negative which wasn't my intent.    Thank you Randy.

hey, It's not like I was voted in as secretary!  Evil

So, eight or so people showed up, Speak up if you were there, Buz said "VP's stand up, step forward if you want to be Prez" Jackie took two steps back, and it was done!

We talked a bit about having meetings at ride destinations on Saturdays or Sundays.

Oh, and I had a Milk shake.

<sigh, grumble, mutter>Do I have to do everything around here?

Attendees: Buzzkill, Sidecar, Bosman, Baron, brew1brew, PlaneCrazyGal, Wheelman, Valkpilot, Disco, Rainmaker.  I think that's all, but I'm old, and memory is the second or fifth thing to go.

Casual conversation was had about the high critter count to, from, and at Inzane.  I'm pretty sure JC, Tom and I saw at least 100 antelope during the trip, plus deer, plus elk, plus bighorn sheep, all beside, near, or on the road.  At least three VRCC memebers hit deer on their way home.

PlaneCrazyGal was sick with laryngitis, so of course we asked her questions all night and made fun of her sqeaky responses.

Les is thinking about changing some meetings to Saturdays with a ride attached, or at least a destination restaurant.  Lots of restaurant ideas were thrown around, but many were north and west of the metromess.  If you've got ideas, chime in.

The Fredricksburg weekend in October was discussed and prompted messages to Rocketman, which initiated his recent posts on the subject.

The election was run Chicago-style.  Everything decided beforehand in smoky back rooms before the constituents were informed of how they were voting.    (I somehow missed my bribe money though.) Since the field of candidates was limited, it was no different than if we'd actually voted.

So, my first act as President is to make a Presidential appointment, to the office of Secretary I appoint Valkpilot! Since he didn't get his bribe Money (more importantly since he failed to bribe me), and he take such great notes even though his aging brain confuses the order of things (at least that what he claims), and he rarely forgets what was said or who was there.

Agreed.

I typically reject any form of upward delegation as it is indicative of weak management.

I say, let 'em sink or swim by standing on their own two feet.

I get it, That pretty much leaves out the entire DFW membership!  crazy2 (most of it anyway)

Well, as I this was more or less posted tong and cheek, I really meant it as a joke, and got the response I expected.
