Hey Folks,

So it appears I've lost my left plastic cover/fairing on my 98'.  Coming back from Keller, my buddy said he though that something came off my bike (say something man!!!).
Anyways, I'm not sure of the best place to source them, but they certainly aren't cheap at $200+ OEM and $150+ eBay/used.
If anyone happens to have one, knows someone, best price, etc.  Please feel free to let me know.  I guess I'll return to the scene of the crime and try to find it (intact or not).

Thanks!

If you can find most of the pieces, it can be rebuilt using ABS cement and scraps of ABS plastic to fill in the blanks.   It's an effort, but woth it if you can't find a replacement.

I'm working on a saddlebag lid now.  It was run over after it blew off and is almost to paint stage after having been reassembled from four different chunks.

I have one, it's black but has scratches, it looks like their was an emblem that was removed.

All the tabs are intact, I'd replace the rubber grommet so this one doesn't join the other one on the roadside.

$75 if you pick it up, $85 if I have to haul it to the post office.

Thanks Gents!  I appreciate it.  I'm going to head out to the intersection where it supposedly came off tomorrow morning and give it a good look around.

Houdini,
If I don't find it, I'll be giving you a shout.  Where do you live?

ValkPilot, I've welded plastic and repainted before on a wrecked bike.  You're right, it is a time consuming PITA - so I'm hoping to avoid it!

A nice gent out of MA contacted me over the weekend who said he saw my post on the forum.  He sold his 97 Std. Valk and still had some parts he forgot to give to the new owner.
Guess he had changed out both side covers to chrome as soon as he bought it, so he is sending me basically two new side covers for very cheap.
I appreciate the replies.  Looks like I lucked out on this one!

Thanks again.
