My brother just bought a Valkyrie with a Lehman trike kit on it. It is very hard to maneuver, and I am wondering, is there any way to tell if the triple tree has been changed? We have put it beside my '97 standard, and it doesn't look any different. I appreciate any insight that y'all might have in this matter. Thanks

I have a Valk with a Lehman Predator conversion with a 3 1/2 degree rake.

I live in Little Rock & would be happy to let you use mine for comparison.

You can determine if it is raked just by comparison of the dimension from the rear of the fender to the radiator against that of a stock Valk. As to how much, I don't know but it is obvious even comparing pics.

3 1/2 rake is minimal and requires significantly more strength than the more usual 6 or 7. However, Lehman reccomends the 3 1/2 for the Predator conversion. Although it's stiff, I love it. The handling is so much better. However, without any rake, I think it would be dangerous.

I think it to be correct that if the neck lock is still there, it has not been raked.

If I can be of help, feel free to call / text me @ 501-541-0046

Mike, after writing this, it finally occurred that you are one & the same I've been planning to call. The grandchildren are gone, so call me & we can set a time & I'll ride out to Redfield to do this at a time that works for you and your brother.
