Left this morning on an ill fated trip to visit Ft. Mckavett, eat bbq goat in Llano at Coopers and visit with my son and grandson in Arlington. Took the scenic route thru La Port, Nasa 1, 518 to 1462, 36 to hwy 90A on to Luling, where the trouble started. There must have been a 3-ring circus going on at Buc'ees with free food and a place to sleep. Traffic was backed up about a mile down 183 and the temp must have been at lease 103, anyways, the sign read I10 east,, that's what I took back home. My total mileage for the day was 528 miles with one picture of the Catholic Church in Shiner. Did I say it was hot and all those people at Buc'ees. Came back the same route, didn't feel the Houston rush hour traffic either.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.
